In this March 16, 2017 Webinar, Ivys Energy Solutions, winner of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fuel Cell Technologies Office 2014–2016 H2 Refuel H-Prize competition, described the role of competition-based innovation in the launch of the award-winning SimpleFuel Hydrogen Refueling Appliance. SimpleFuel is a compact, cost-effective and readily deployable refueling solution for home-based/fleet applications.

In this September 22, 2015 Webinar, the Fuel Cell Technologies Office presented updates and new information about the $1 million H2 Refuel H-Prize competition, including the recent update to the H2 Refuel Guidelines, additional information for competitors, and the registration process. All parties interested in participating in the competition are strongly encouraged to review this webinar.
In this Safety Webinar, held August 6, 2015, the DOE’s Hydrogen Safety Panel, represented by Nick Barilo and Don Frikken, discussed safety planning and what information should be included in the required safety plan document. It also includes a general discussion on codes and standards and the need for local fire/building approval requirements.
The Overview Webinar provided a high-level discussion of the H2 Refuel H-Prize competition. It covered everything from how to register for the competition to the technical and safety requirements of the submissions. This webinar was held on June 25, 2015.
A presentation given at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Program Annual Merit Review and Peer Evaluation, on June 9, 2015 provided an overview of the H2 Refuel competition including key dates, criteria, and information on how to learn more.
